KURDISTAN WORKERS’ PARTY (PKK) HAS DECLARED SURRENDER AND LIQUIDATION

PKK IS NO MORE!

PKK HAS DISSOLVED ITSELF!

PKK HAS DECLARED SURRENDER AND LIQUIDATION!

The PKK announced the final declaration of its Extraordinary 12th Congress held on May 5–7, 2025. At the congress, it was decided to abandon the armed struggle and dissolve the PKK.

The final declaration of the congress states:

“The PKK’s struggle has broken the denial and annihilation policies imposed on our people, and has brought the Kurdish issue to the point of a democratic political solution. In this respect, the PKK has completed its historical mission… It decided to dissolve the PKK’s organizational structure and end the method of armed struggle, thereby ending the activities carried out under the name PKK.”

They claim the policies of denial and annihilation against the Kurdish people have been shattered. No, this is not true. Based on the principles of revolutionary principles and our historical responsibility, we declare: The peoples of Turkey and Kurdistan are being lied to!

What has been shattered is not the policy of denial and annihilation. What has been shattered are the lifeless bodies of massacred Kurdish people. The dismembered corpses have been sent to Kurdish mothers by courier. In the Roboski Massacre, an entire family was annihilated by F-16 fighter jets. The corpses of the Kurdish people were dragged through the streets of Kurdistan behind armored vehicles. The curse of Taybet Ana, whose body remained in the street for 7 days, lies upon this lie!

The PKK says it “brought the Kurdish issue to the point of a democratic solution”…

Was the Kurdish Nationalist Movement not engaging in “democratic politics” before the PKK was dissolved and the armed struggle was abandoned? Co-chairs were arrested, trustees were appointed to municipalities, Kurdish artists and journalists were imprisoned. The Kurdish people were still tortured, burned in basements, murdered in the streets, in their homes.

Today, even MPs and mayors of CHP, a fascist establishment party, are being arrested. Even the leaders of fascist parties like Zafer Party are being imprisoned. What kind of democracy is the Kurdish Nationalist Movement talking about? Whose democracy? What democracy?

This is nothing but deceiving the people and lying. Not even the simplest demand for rights is allowed—every attempt is suppressed with arrests, torture, and terror.

The Kurdish Nationalist Movement says, “With the decisions of the PKK’s 12th Congress, the democratic political method will develop more strongly, and the future of our peoples will evolve on the basis of freedom and equality.”

There can be no future without reckoning with the past. The Kurdish people have suffered exile, arrests, torture, imprisonment, and massacres… To chronologically list just the massacres in Kurdistan would fill a separate book. While the torturers and murderers walk freely and are even rewarded, what kind of democracy is the Kurdish Nationalist Movement talking about?

No! There is no “democracy” in a country ruled by fascism. In a fascist country, democratic struggle cannot be conducted “democratically.” It is part of the revolutionary struggle. The struggle for democracy against fascism must be waged through radical, militant, revolutionary mass resistance.

WE WANT JUSTICE, NOT PEACE! FIGHT UNTIL LIBERATION FOR JUSTICE!

We demand justice for the murdered Kurdish people!

We demand justice for our mothers whose children’s bodies were left in the streets!

We demand justice for our youth whose corpses were dismembered!

We demand justice for the Kurdish people who endured torture!

We demand justice for the Kurdish people who were imprisoned and whose years were stolen!

THERE IS AN ACCOUNT TO BE SETTLED!

THE KURDISH PEOPLE WILL DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY!

THE KURDISH PEOPLE WILL RESIST, WILL FIGHT!
