TAYAD – They are tortured, imprisoned, their homes raided. 2 fathers had to go to prison because they sent money to their children in prison. TAYAD: Courage, solidarity, love, relentless struggle against fascism. |

| Ayten Öztürk, Turkey (Online) Ayten Öztürk was kidnapped by the Turkish intelligence agency MIT and held in a secret torture prison for 6 months. She was physically and psychologically tortured. Ayten decided from the beginning: resist. I will leave here either alive or dead. But with my head held high. And so it was. She did not testify. She did not collaborate. The price: She maintained her honor and dignity. But marked for life: Ayten has 898 wounds on her body from torture. She has permanent health damage. She has written about the torture, demanding punishment for the torturers and the abolition of all torture prisons in a book. Now there is a trial because of the book. Not the torturers. But the torture victim is to be punished for publicizing it. |
