MUTULU SHAKUR WILL LIVES IN OUR STRUGGLE AGAINST IMPERIALISM AND FASCISM!
On 6 July Mutulu Shakur has died after serious illness. He was kept in US political prison for 36 years.
He was a fighter of Black Liberation Army and Movement for the Republic of New Africa.
In prison he fell ill with bone marrow cancer and though he should have been released after 30 years, following the class injustice, he was imprisoned until it was clear that he wouldn’t survive for longer than 6 months.
One of the accusements and pretexts for his arrest was the successful Liberation of Assata Shakur by the BLA in 1979.
He was also a revolutionary doctor and beloved for his services for the people’s health in poor neighborhoods.
He was especially known and served respect for his treatment methods for drug addicts. Instead of treating them with methadone, Mutulu Shakur had achieved great healing success with Chinese acupuncture.
His conrades marked that “he taught us to fight for Liberation as ‘people for the love of people’..
Mutulu Shakur is immortal, will remain in our memory and inspire the struggles for independence and freedom!
