Solidarity with the People’s Resistance from Turkey to Palestine.
In this year’s people’s voice festival organized annually by the Communist Party of Austria in Vienna, a stall was opened in solidarity with Ayten Öztürk, the resistance against type S-R-Y prisons in Turkey. A large sized picture of Ayten Öztürk, Ayten’s book “Resistance and Victory” telling about the torture she faced in a secret torture chamber, was presented at the table. To inform about the inhuman isolation prisons, also named as well type prisons a little booklet by the AIF political prisoners committee was available.
Different post cards demanding a new, fair trial for Ayten and her release, and others to call for recognition of the demands of prisoners resisting the S-R-Y prisons were spread and dozens of people signed the cards towards Turkish officials.
The Palestinian flag was hung near a red flag to highlight the solidarity and brotherhood among peoples resisting oppression. The book of Ayten as well as the resistance against the new isolation prisons in Turkey were met with great interest and solidarity.
