Yesterday, on March 20, 2026, late in the afternoon, as I was leaving my home in the Exarchia neighborhood to attend the announced rally at the police headquarters in Athens regarding the comrade arrested from the Gather for Gaza collective, I noticed the presence of police officers in front of my house, on foot and in vehicles. Since this is not the first time I have faced such a situation, I am well aware of the methods used by the repressive apparatus to monitor the homes of activists and political spaces. On my way home that evening, the police presence continued, culminating in them following me closely with excessive audacity wherever I went in the neighborhood.
I do not consider the timing of these incidents to be coincidental at all. The Greek state is directly involved in the war waged by the murderers of the peoples—the U.S. – NATO-Zionism against Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, and all the peoples of West Asia, and it is using its repressive mechanisms against activists fighting against this murderous policy. If anything bothers them, it is the clear stance we take in support of the Resistance in Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen. How is it that at this juncture, while they are celebrating the deployment of Patriots and F-35s, we are clearly saying “Hands off Iran,” “Victory to the Axis of Resistance”, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free”, “Close all NATO bases.”
We will continue to do so.
It is by no means a coincidence that yesterday, when our comrade from Gather 4 Gaza was arrested on misdemeanor charges and I was being monitored, we had announced a rally in Syntagma Square for the 168 girls murdered by the U.S. when they bombed the school in Minab, Iran; nor is it a coincidence that today we also have a scheduled event with speakers from Resistance organizations from Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen, among whom I am also a speaker.
Our struggle against imperialism, Zionism, and their collaborators will continue, no matter how much they persist in their repressive measures.
We will fight on a united front alongside the resistance in Palestine, which has been under occupation for 78 years, supporting the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation of October 7 and heroic Gaza, with Iran and its people, who, in their millions, stand defiant under daily bombings, shouting in support of the Islamic Republic and against the US-Zionist imperialist intervention, with the resistance in southern Lebanon, in Beirut, Dahiyeh, and Bekaa, in Sana’a, Yemen, and from there all the way to Latin America—Cuba and Venezuela.
Because no matter how much they want to silence the voice of resistance, they will not succeed, for we owe it to the thousands of martyrs to honor their names and their blood. This is what will become a flood and drown imperialism, Zionism, and their collaborators.
