International Day of actions for solidarity to 11 Revolutionaries from Turkey that imprisoned in Greece
On 25th of August 2021, was international call for solidarity to 11 Revolutionaries from Turkey, that imprisoned in Greece. Gathering took place in different countries.
In Greece, in Front of Ministry of Justice, in Germany in front of Greek Consulates of Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and also in Greek Consulate in Belgium.
WE WANT JUSTICE FOR 11 REVOLUTIONARY FROM TURKEY THAT IMPRISONED IN GREECE!
WE WANT A FAIR TRIAL!
The trial, in which 11 Turkish revolutionaries who were imprisoned in Athens for a year and a half were sentenced to a total of 333 years in prison, is not a fair trial in accordance with the law.
This trial is a political trial carried out by the impositions of US imperialism and Turkish fascism, aimed at intimidating the Turkish revolutionaries in Greece and preventing their anti-imperialist and anti-fascist struggles.
The Athens High Criminal Court made a political decision by openly violating the laws and universal principles of law, usurping the defense rights and the rights of the Turkish revolutionaries to a fair trial. This decision was made as a result of the pressures of Turkish fascism and US-EU imperialism, by applying the definitions of “terrorism” in line with the interests of imperialism and the “anti-terror laws” created for these interests.
The court gave heavy sentences to 11 Turkish revolutionaries without any concrete evidence, in accordance with the wishes of the political power, not in accordance with the law. Even the fact that Turkish revolutionaries make victory signs and shout slogans while entering and leaving the courtroom is the proof of this. Therefore, this trial is a political trial, not a fair trial. This decision is a political decision, not a legal one.
A fair trial must be made in accordance with the law, this injustice must be ended, 11 revolutionaries from Turkey must be released immediately!
