The following letter was sent to political prisoner Fikret Akar, a former hunger strike resister in Turkey, from US Political Prisoner Mumia Abu Jamal.
My dear brother, Fikret Akar – Peace.
From one “well” to another, I hope you are well. The fascist/imperialist/technocratic complex isn’t coming; it is here! It is busy destroying democratic rights, and the very hunger for freedoms and liberty.
My kudos to you and your colleagues in the trenches for trying to bring light to modern Turkey.
