On May 4, People’s Front in Greece and Anti-Imperialist Front made solidarity action in Front of the Turkish Embassy in Athens, to ensure the right to treatment of the Revolutionary Prisoner Ali Osman Köse.
The Forensic Medicine Institute gave a healthy report to Ali Osman Köse. A normal person should have a kidney diameter of 12 cm, while Ali Osman Köse’s kidney is 9 cm and a cancerous kidney with cysts. The surgery that had to be done in the hospital of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University was passed away with excuses and was not done with the political pressure of the government. They announced that Ali Osman Köse was transferred from Tekirdağ City Hospital to Trakya University Faculty of Medicine.
Despite the referral, the policy of distraction for the treatment of Ali Osman Köse still continues.
Despite the determination of all the hospital and physicians conducting the examination that “it is necessary to be operated urgently”, that “emergency surgery” cannot be performed in any way.
People’s Front and Anti-Imperialist Front members took action all over Europe to have Ali Osman Köse operated.
In front of the Turkish Embassy, a banner reading “Freedom for Ali Osman Köse, Provide the Right to Health” and explanations in Greek and Turkish and English were read and “Freedom for Ali Osman Köse is our honor, Ali Osman Köse is our honor, Ali Osman Köse is released, Revolutionary prisoners are our honor, isolation Slogans were chanted “Torture is the End of Isolation”.
All together, we sang the Free Prisoners Mars and then the action was ended with slogans. 15 people participated in the action.
