ANTI-IMPERIALIST CARAVAN IN BELARUS
On May 13th-16th 2025, the Anti-Imperialist Front organized an anti-imperialist caravan with delegations from Greece, Germany, France, Turkey, Ireland, Serbia, and England, who visited Belarus for the “Mission to Find the Truth,” opposing imperialist disinformation attacks.
The organisations that participated in Anti-Imperialist Front’s Caravan were: Saoradh – Revolutionary Republican Socialist Party from Ireland, People’s Front Turkey, Revolutionary Youth DEV-GENÇ, HFG Center against drugs and addictions, Revolutionary People’s Party – Front from Serbia, Free Thinkers’ Peace Movement from Germany and anti-imperialist journalist from Greece. The caravan co organized by Anti-Imperialist Front and Anti-Imperialist Collective of Belarus and Communist Party of Belarus gave hospitality and solidarity to caravan.
13 MAY/ 1ST DAY OF CARAVAN
Our first stop was a free state school called Technopark. At this school, advanced intelligence students develop projects in fields such as robotics, cosmonautics, artificial intelligence, and drone technology. The school has 15 different laboratories, and each student chooses their own area of focus based on their interests. We were able to visit only 5 of these laboratories.
Among the projects they produce are:
– Drones that find lost people in the forest
– AI-supported fire escape simulations or detailed simulations teaching car repairs
Education is completely free and lasts 24 days. The state covers students’ accommodation, meals, and all other needs. Graduates can directly enter university or start working at one of the 60 companies affiliated with the school.
Notable detail: The school’s walls feature symbols of the USSR (the red star, sickle and hammer, Soviet photographs, wall portrait of Yuri Gagarin). Belarus continues to transmit **socialist values** to the younger generations. That’s why it remains a target of imperialism!
VICTORY MONUMENT
When we stepped outside, we saw the Victory Monument. At the top of the monument was the red star, and below were statues of workers, peasants, soldiers, the elderly, and children. The portrait of Lenin was on the flag carried by the people. Beneath the monument, the eternal flame of victory burned.
In the same area, a pedestal was installed for the hero city of Odessa, where residents lay flowers on May 2 in memory of the Odessa massacre in the House of Trade Unions. The Belarusian people do not forget Soviet heroes and revolutionary martyrs, and they constantly leave carnations at the monument.
We also laid our red carnations at the Victory Monument and then went to meet with the Communist Party at their building.
MEETING WITH COMMUNIST PARTY OF BELARUS
During the meeting, they introduced themselves, and we shared information about our work.
Additionally, for our documentary, we asked questions to hear the truth from them, especially regarding the lies spread by imperialism.
Some of their responses to our questions were:
– “There are no political prisoners; there are imperialist agents!”
– “We don’t call them ‘opponents’. They are paid agents of imperialism working for color revolutions.”
– “Why should we give fascists a voice?”
– “While communists are imprisoned in the West, why should we grant freedom of speech to bourgeois fascists here?”
The party awarded the Anti-Imperialist Front a medal and presented traditional gifts. They also mentioned their plans to conduct interviews with youth organizations to publish in their newspaper.
What we saw in Belarus clearly shows that the socialist legacy is still alive, and these enduring values are protected by the Belarusian people and leadership. Even the remnants of socialism and the culture that has developed from it are far more advanced than imperialist culture here.
Imperialism, rooted in this culture and ideology, aims to re-colonize Belarus. It seeks to make Belarus serve its own interests. To do this, they are surrounding Belarus from all sides with NATO bases.
We stand with the Belarusian people in their legitimate struggle against imperialist encirclement!
14TH MAY/ 2nd DAY OF CARAVAN
On the second day of the Anti-Imperialist Caravan, after a group breakfast, we went to the office of the Belarus Communist Party. There, we met with GRİGORİ AZARÖNOK, a representative of the “Pardon Commission” and also a journalist.
The Pardon Commission is a state institution that aims to rehabilitate individuals who, during the colorful revolutions attempted under the direct guidance of imperialism in Belarus, were deceived by imperialist propaganda and either participated in protests, were arrested, or had to flee the country to avoid imprisonment. Inspired by efforts during the Soviet era to gain supporters of the White Army, the commission today has a similar mission in Belarus: to identify and release those who are not paid agents of imperialism but are genuinely victims of imperialist disinformation, and to bring back those who have gone abroad.
The academy instructor prepared a presentation emphasizing that NATO has completely encircled Belarusian borders and that neighboring countries outside of Russia have essentially become NATO bases.
Belarus is a target of imperialism because it serves as a critical bridge between Russia and Europe. Moreover, imperialism is doing everything it can—disinformation, color revolutions, even assassinations—to turn Belarus to its advantage.
We participated in a roundtable with civil society organizations and journalists affiliated with the state, where we listened to social work efforts in Belarus.
In the evening, the group gathered at the hostel where everyone was staying, and plans for the next day were made, bringing the day to a close.
15TH MAY / 3RD DAY OF CARAVAN
TRACTOR FACTORY OF BELARUS
We visited the Tractor Factory of Belarus. A Factory with 79 years of history, that established by decision of Stalin 1 year after the victory of the Great Patriotic War, established at 1946.
The factory is public and only in Minsk has 15.000 employees, to them is providing by state houses, hospitals, vacations for children of the families. Inside the factory were museum for the history of the Soviet Union and factory establishment and monument of Lenin.
There they gave us great hospitality and we spoke with the representatives about the importance of socialist past of Belarus and the importance of the collective way of life and work.
PUBLIC HOSPITAL IN THE HONOR OF ANTIFASCIST SOVIET DOCTOR KLUMOV
After we visit the public hospital for honor to Klumov a soviet antifascist doctor who killed by Nazis. We spoke with doctors, nurses, administrator of the hospital, they explained to us about how in Belarus the health system is all public and for the profit of the people not for the capital.
Very important was the museum, that was located inside the hospital and established 2 years before, for mentioning all the history of Klumov and the soviet health system.
In the yard a big monument of Lenin was there to remind to all the people the achievements of socialism in health, society and science.
HOUSE MUSEUM OF 1ST CONGRESS OF THE RUSSIAN SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC LABOUR PARTY
This Museum is the place that the 1st assembly of revolutionaries was held. The revolutionaries of Russia were illegally gathered in Minsk to prepare the great soviet revolution. We can say that was the birth place of October Revolution!
