Court of Appeal of the 11 Revolutionaries from Turkey in Greece Continues with Defenses

The 10 of the 11 revolutionaries from Turkey, who were released pending trial, made a press statement before the appeal hearing held on January 30, 2023, outside of Korydallos Prison in Athens, Greece.

The comrades Ali Ercan Gökoğlu gave speeches in Turkish, Şadi Naci Özpolat in English and Halil Demir in Greek. It was emphasized the victory of the hunger and the court process is not over yet, and that the struggle for justice will continue until the end. The press release was ended with a call to expand solidarity and participate in the courts.

At the hearing on 30 August 2023, the defenses began. Revolutionary Prisoner Sinan Oktay Özen, who is still imprisoned, defended first, and after him Halil Demir’s defense started.

The trial started at 10:00 and ended at 15:00. The court will continue with the defenses in the next hearing, on February 1, 2023.
