Ukrainian political prisoners, anti-fascists Mikhail and Alexander Kononovich sent a letter to Turkish political prisoner Fikret Akar, who is on an indefinite hunger strike against the new isolation prisons S, R, Y types. Below we publish the text of this letter.
Dear comrade Fikret Akar, and also your dear comrades, tigers, who are fighting the fascist regime in Turkey.
Thanks to the world communist international, we, the communists of Ukraine, learned about your noble and great struggle – for peace and justice on the multinational land where you live and fight!
We know about your sacred struggle, about your illegal detention in the torture prison cells of the Turkish regime.
We always monitor your situation and the situation of your comrades who are in prisons. We look with admiration at your steadfastness and your feats, despite all the efforts of the fascist Turkish regime to destroy you and your comrades physically in torture prisons.
We admire your struggle and unbending will to win! Your hunger strikes, in which you fight for friends, for your comrades, not only for yourself, are an example of courage!
We repeatedly cite the example of your struggle when speaking to our comrades, communists and Komsomol members in Ukraine.
We also voice the example of your steadfastness during our court hearings, where we, Mikhail and Alexander Kononovich, like you, are being tried on fabricated criminal cases. Your feat gives us strength for our struggle against the fascist regime in Ukraine!
Know, dear comrade Fikret Akar and your tigers – comrades in the struggle, the entire progressive world, people, organizations and political parties that profess communism, socialism, anti-fascism, are in solidarity with you and will never stop supporting you and your comrades!
Hold on, dear brother and comrade Fikret Akar! Communists and anti-fascists of Ukraine are with you!
