Sorbonne students show their anger in force

Since Wednesday 13 April 2022, hundreds of students have been mobilising in Paris to protest against the result of the first round of the presidential elections and to challenge politicians on ecological and social issues.

At the Sorbonne, following an anti-fascist general assembly, hundreds of students demonstrated in the corridors of the Sorbonne shouting slogans such as “anti-capitalist”, “ni macron, ni le Pen”, “Siamo tutti antifascisti”. Subsequently, the Sorbonne was occupied for two nights by the students, the police surrounded the Sorbonne but the students also demonstrated at the Sorbonne during the occupation. The so-called democratic police used force to clear the crowd of students with violence. The young people claim to be anti-capitalist and anti-fascist and show a more committed future.
