4 APRIL – DAY OF ACTION AGAINST NATO!
77 YEARS OF NATO ARE ENOUGH!
The largest terrorist organisation in the world, NATO has been active since 4 April 1949. It was founded by the United States, Canada and ten Western European countries under the pretext of “defending against the socialist system”. Since the foundation of this organisation, it has been directly involved in occupation, oppression, war crimes, torture, murder, poverty, exploitation, injustice, counter-guerrilla operations and hostility towards the peoples of the world.
It has organised embargoes and sanctions against independent countries, built special isolation prisons for revolutionaries, progressives and anti-imperialists, used terror laws to silence the people, and spread disinformation through the mainstream media. Its primary purpose is to serve the expansion of US hegemony across the globe.
NATO has now become a global military power with 32 member states. NATO threatens all humanity.
As in previous years, we have once again witnessed NATO’s aggression across the world.
Donald Trump’s plan, together with the Zionist murderer Netanyahu, to attack Gaza once more and transform it into a “riviera” for US and Zionist monopolies and profits continues through the further occupation of Palestinian territories. The 78-year occupation of heroic Palestine continues.
The puppet HTS regime in Syria, established by US-EU-NATO countries as part of the imperialist “Greater Middle East Project”, has carried out massacres targeting the Alawite people and opposition forces.
The bombing of Yemen by US and UK imperialism continues, alongside further attacks against Lebanese and Palestinian resistance.
In Venezuela, they kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, killed fishermen, confiscated Venezuelan oil tankers, and mapped out plans to plunder Venezuelan oil reserves.
There are constant threats against Cuba and Iran.
There are ongoing efforts to expand NATO bases into Eastern European countries, and repeated threats against China and Russia during NATO summits.
NATO’s criminal record grows longer year after year.
For all these reasons, it is our duty to act against NATO and its collaborators. That is why we have been organising worldwide actions during the week of 4 April against NATO. Over the past two years, within the Anti-NATO campaign, thousands of people around the world have responded to our call. Dozens of organisations and individuals from various countries have organised actions in front of US embassies, NATO institutions and military bases, including in Andalusia, Austria, the Basque Country, Belarus, Belgium, Britain, Bulgaria, Denmark, Donbass, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Holland, India, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland and the USA.
We know very well that the resistance of the people can stop massacres and imperialist aggression. We have a duty to unite and fight against imperialism and its collaborators. We demand the closure of all US-NATO bases used to attack the peoples of the world.
We call on all anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and progressive organisations, and all oppressed peoples of the world, to join the campaign against NATO.
Take action on 4 April — in front of US embassies, NATO institutions or in city centres. Let us unite all our forces against the common enemy of the peoples of the world: imperialism, fascism and Zionism.
