SUPPORTING TURKISH VATAN PARTY EQUALS SUPPORTING FASCISM

ESTABLISHING RELATIONS WITH VATAN PARTY AND THE AYDINLIK MOVEMENT IS EQUIVALENT TO SUPPORTING FASCISM!

VATAN PARTY IS THE SPOKESPERSON OF THE AKP!

ITS MOST FUNDAMENTAL TASK IS TO LEGITIMISE AKP FASCISM, ESPECIALLY IN THE FORMER SOVIET COUNTRIES!

IN EUROPE, ITS TASK IS TO LEGITIMISE FASCIST NAZI PARTIES!

VATAN PARTY’S CALL TO THE PEOPLES FROM TURKEY TO “BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THE AfD AND BSW” IS AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE THE PEOPLES OF TURKEY FALL IN LOVE WITH THEIR OWN EXECUTIONER!

AGAINST FASCISM AND IMPERIALISM, OUR ONLY SALVATION, AS THE PEOPLES FROM TURKEY AND MIGRANT PEOPLES, IS TO ORGANISE IN PEOPLE’S COMMITTEES AND PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLIES!

IT IS THE DUTY OF EVERYONE WHO CALLS THEMSELVES LEFT-WING, SOCIALIST, ANTI-FASCIST AND ANTI-IMPERIALIST TO EXPOSE AND CONDEMN THE REVOLUTIONARY-KILLING VATAN PARTY FOR ITS ROLE IN LEGITIMISING FASCISM!

Vatan Party General Secretary Özgür Bursalı made a statement saying, “We congratulate the AfD”, after the fascist AfD won the elections in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

On the same day, Donald Trump, representative of US imperialism—the principal enemy of the peoples of the world and a killer of children—also posted:

“They achieved a great electoral success. (…) They are on the rise! Make Germany great again.”

VATAN PARTY AND US IMPERIALISM SHARE THE SAME IDEOLOGY!

WHAT UNITES TRUMP AND VATAN PARTY IN THE SAME CAMP IS THEIR HOSTILITY TOWARDS THE PEOPLE!

Vatan Party General Secretary Özgür Bursalı’s celebration of the fascist AfD’s electoral victory in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, and his description of it as an “anti-NATO, Asia-friendly awakening” is an attempt to legitimise fascism.

It is the historic duty of all leftists, socialists and intellectuals to expose and condemn Vatan Party for its attempts to portray fascism as “progressive”.

WHO IS THE AfD AND HOW DID IT WIN THE ELECTION?

The AfD is a party that protects the interests of monopoly capital, aims to destroy trade union rights and offers tax cuts to the wealthy. It has a thoroughly neoliberal, reactionary and fascist programme.

In periods of crisis, monopoly capital produces chauvinism and xenophobia in order to prevent the people’s justified anger over inflation, insecurity and poverty from developing into a revolutionary force capable of overthrowing the bourgeois order.

Özgür Bursalı claims that describing the AfD as “far-right and racist” is “US propaganda”. According to him, “those who call them ‘far-right’ are the real far-right.”

The AfD’s programme seeks to deport migrant workers, inflame racial and national chauvinism and overcome the internal crisis of German imperialism by directing violence against oppressed peoples and migrants.

To whitewash this clear and scientifically established character of fascism by calling it “US propaganda” is a betrayal of the working class and internationalism.

Özgür Bursalı also calls upon the more than 3.5 million people from Turkey living in Germany to:

“Do not become active in the Atlantic parties that have reached a dead end; become active in the AfD and BSW and share power.”

THIS IS A CALL FOR THE PEOPLES OF TURKEY TO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN EXECUTIONER!

To call for support for the fascist AfD, which openly promises in its electoral programme to close the borders and expel foreigners, is to serve the lamb to the wolf.

Bursalı continues his congratulatory message by claiming that because the AfD is “anti-NATO and friendly towards Asia—Turkey, Russia and China”, it represents the dawn of a “New World”.

Yet fascist parties such as the AfD exist under the protection of the US and NATO. Ideologically, they defend the same fundamental interests and are enemies of the people.

Dialectical materialism teaches us that the character of a political force cannot be determined merely through its rhetoric—in this case, its verbal opposition to NATO—but must be understood through its internal class character.

In a class society, foreign policy is an extension of domestic policy and of the economic interests of the ruling class.

The AfD’s opposition to NATO and the current government does not arise from anti-imperialism. It arises from its defence of those sections of German monopoly capital dependent upon cheap energy and access to Russian and Asian markets.

In Germany in the 1930s, Hitler also mobilised the masses in the interests of German monopoly capital by presenting a radical and false “anti-system” opposition to the Treaty of Versailles.

The AfD is the contemporary face of the same historical process.

When Özgür Bursalı says that “the AfD appears to receive votes from every section of society, particularly working people and workers”, he attempts to construct a false working-class legitimacy for a fascist party.

When sections of the working class or working people vote for fascist parties during periods of crisis, this does not make those parties “friends of the workers”.

It demonstrates that, in the absence of a socialist and revolutionary alternative, the masses can be manipulated by fascist demagogy and their class consciousness distorted.

Let us remember that Hitler fascism also came to power in Germany with enormous electoral support.

The Soviet people, one of the noblest forces among the peoples of the world, gave 27 million martyrs and earned the honour of defeating fascism.

Therefore, support for the AfD among sections of the working class does not legitimise it. On the contrary, such support reflects the weakness of socialist and revolutionary forces.

It is impossible for the AfD to be a friend of the peoples of Russia, China, Iran or Palestine.

Because the AfD represents the interests of German monopolies.

And for German monopolies, these countries are rivals and enemies.

GERMAN IMPERIALISM HAS BECOME COMPLETELY DEPENDENT ON U.S. IMPERIALISM

AfD Co-Chair Alice Weidel openly declares the following programme:

“We will close the borders. We will deport foreigners who do not have the right to remain in the country and those who commit crimes.”

Concepts such as “crime” and the “right to remain”, which are monopolised by the bourgeois state, would under a fascist government first be used to terrorise and suppress migrant labour.

To tell people from Turkey to become “active” and “share power” inside a fascist party whose very political existence is built upon hostility towards migrants, Islamophobia and racism is to attempt to make the people fall in love with their own executioner.

To whitewash the AfD’s established racism and xenophobia by calling them “US propaganda” is to conceal the ideological essence of fascism from the masses.

Fascism has a very clear definition.

In the words of Georgi Dimitrov, fascism is: “the open terrorist dictatorship of the most reactionary, most chauvinist and most imperialist elements of finance capital.”

The growth of the mass base of parties such as the AfD is nourished by monopoly capitalism’s ability to manipulate the justified anger of the people through demagogy.

The AfD creates a false enemy by blaming migrants, refugees and foreigners—not the monopoly bourgeoisie, the real owner of the system—for poverty and insecurity generated by crises within the system.

Throughout history, fascism has used precisely this method to divert class anger.

When bourgeois democracy can no longer protect the system, the capitalist class keeps the fascist club in reserve.

Marine Le Pen in France, who has advocated withdrawal from NATO’s military command while mobilising the masses through nationalist and populist rhetoric, represents another side of the same coin.

German imperialism has never truly learnt from its history and has never genuinely condemned its Nazi-fascist past.

Today, fascism is again rising throughout Europe in conditions where socialist countries no longer exist.

German imperialism has never ideologically abandoned its fascist ideas and ambitions.

The existence of the Soviet Union and national liberation organisations once forced it towards a certain degree of integration and restraint.

But today, with the disappearance or weakening of socialist countries and socialist organisations, the ruling classes have once again gained the confidence to establish fascist parties and bring them towards power.

Their own crises also push them in this direction.

They are using methods they used 200 years ago.

As they struggle to prolong their existence, they become increasingly aggressive and reckless.

Imperialism can no longer survive without intensifying fascism, torture and occupation.

But the laws of history are clear.

Imperialism is decaying capitalism.

US imperialism—the principal enemy of the peoples of the world—and the imperialist countries have no future.

Imperialism is condemned to destruction.

The crisis of the economic base and the fractures appearing in the superstructure demonstrate that social and political processes are ultimately determined by the economic foundation.

The AfD reaching a vote of 43.8 per cent in the eastern states of Germany is not merely an ideological deviation.

It is the direct result of the neoliberal policies pursued by the Merz government in Berlin, the energy crisis and the impoverishment of working people.

It is the result of deep dependence upon US imperialism.

Sanctions imposed through support for the fascist government in Ukraine, together with the boycott of Russian gas, have placed the heaviest burden upon the German working class.

The economic crisis accumulating at the base has produced a crisis of legitimacy for bourgeois democracy in the superstructure and created conditions for the rise of fascism.

The AfD’s attempt to restore economic relations with Russia and end support for Ukraine arises from its desire to defend imperialist interests.

Above all, this is electoral propaganda aimed at consolidating its own supporters.

After the AfD’s electoral victory in Saxony-Anhalt, Alice Weidel declared:

“We entered the elections promising to defend Germany’s interests, not the interests of Ukraine or other countries.”

Her attacks on the leaders of the imperialist state apparatus—Merz and the CDU—are false.

The rhetoric of “national interest” and bourgeois chauvinism is used to deceive the masses.

Weidel’s talk of “Germany’s interests” is a clear manifestation of chauvinism and fascism.

In a class society there is no abstract “national interest”.

There is only the interest of the ruling class.

The historical function of the AfD is to redirect the justified class anger of the German working class—impoverished by imperialist monopoly capital and crushed under the crisis of imperialism—towards xenophobia and hostility to migrants.

Weidel’s list of promises reflects precisely the instincts of fascism during periods of crisis:

“We will cut unnecessary spending, secure control of the borders, deport foreigners who commit crimes and close the borders.”

This rhetoric shifts responsibility for structural crises created by the capitalist mode of production—unemployment, budget deficits and social collapse—away from monopoly capital, which is responsible for the system, and onto the most vulnerable sections of society: migrant peoples.

Fascism rises by presenting scapegoats to the masses in order to conceal exploitation during periods of crisis.

The AfD can never become a party outside the control of US imperialism.

There is no material basis for such a development.

German imperialism’s incorporation into US hegemony did not begin today; what we are witnessing today is the result of a long historical process.

The refusal of bourgeois parties to enter coalition with the AfD after its electoral success in Saxony-Anhalt is merely theatre.

The very system that produces the conditions for fascism is the imperialist system itself.

The only force capable of ending fascism, imperialist wars and exploitation is: the organised struggle of the working class and the revolutionary legitimacy of the peoples of the world.

THE ONLY SALVATION IS TO UNITE AND ORGANISE IN PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLIES AND PEOPLE’S COMMITTEES!

Just as during the period when Hitler fascism came to power, imperialist countries today attempt to blame their own internal crises upon migrants.

They cultivate fascist parties in order to prevent the anger of their own peoples from being directed against the system itself.

Millions of people from Turkey living in Europe, together with all migrant peoples, must unite and organise in People’s Assemblies and People’s Committees in order to defend themselves against fascism.

WE EXPOSE VATAN PARTY’S LEGITIMISATION OF NAZIS AND FASCISTS!

THEIR AIM IS TO LEGITIMISE NAZI PARTIES BECAUSE THEY SHARE THE SAME IDEOLOGY!

VATAN PARTY AND THE AYDINLIK MOVEMENT ARE SPOKESPERSONS FOR THE AKP!

THEY ARE ENEMIES OF THE REVOLUTIONARY LEFT MOVEMENTS OF TURKEY!

They have caused dozens of revolutionaries to be killed by informing on them to fascism.

WE EXPOSE THEM! WE CONDEMN THEM!

ESTABLISHING RELATIONS WITH VATAN PARTY OR SUPPORTING THEM IS EQUIVALENT TO SUPPORTING THE US, THE AKP, THE AfD—IN OTHER WORDS, FASCISM!

The history of Vatan Party is a history of legitimising fascism.

Today, its task in our country is to legitimise AKP fascism.

The AKP is the most pro-American, Zionist and collaborationist government in the history of Turkey.

It resorts to every kind of demagogy in order to conceal its collaborationism.

Vatan Party goes to countries where the AKP cannot operate openly at the level of direct representation.

VATAN PARTY IS THE SPOKESPERSON OF THE AKP!

Supporting the AfD reflects the real thinking of US imperialism and AKP fascism.

But they have the informer Aydınlık movement carry this out in the name of the left.

VATAN PARTY IDEOLOGICALLY DEFENDS THE AKP!

The Aydınlık movement and Vatan Party are tasked with legitimising AKP fascism internationally—above all in the former Soviet countries, but also in China and Korea.

Today they have also undertaken the task of legitimising fascist parties in Europe.

Their anti-American and anti-NATO rhetoric is merely an illusion and demagogy.

Ideologically, this movement is pro-NATO.

Because the AKP and the fascist parties in Europe that it supports are themselves pro-NATO.

Today, NATO means US imperialism.

US imperialism knows that it cannot survive without becoming the ruler of the world, and it seeks to turn the whole world into provinces of the United States.

Imperialist countries and collaborationist countries cannot oppose this.

Only anti-fascist and anti-imperialist countries and organisations can stand against it.

It is the duty of anti-imperialist and anti-fascist organisations and parties, and of everyone who calls themselves left-wing, socialist or an intellectual, to expose Vatan Party and the Aydınlık movement.

Vatan Party cannot have the right to speak anywhere in the world in the name of the left!

Because Vatan Party is known and condemned in Turkey for informing on Marxist-Leninist revolutionary organisations to fascism.

They have no connection with the peoples of Turkey and never will.

Vatan Party is the party of the US and implements US policies.

They are killers of revolutionaries.

Today they also openly support Nazis.

For this reason, no one who calls themselves anti-American, anti-imperialist, left-wing or anti-fascist should participate together with this party in any organisation, meeting or event.

OUR CALL TO ALL COUNTRIES AND ORGANISATIONS THAT HAVE RELATIONS WITH VATAN PARTY:

ESTABLISHING RELATIONS WITH VATAN PARTY IS EQUIVALENT TO SUPPORTING FASCISM!

VATAN PARTY IS THE SPOKESPERSON OF THE AKP AND THE KILLER OF REVOLUTIONARIES!

LET US EXPOSE AND CONDEMN VATAN PARTY AND THE AYDINLIK MOVEMENT EVERYWHERE!

DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO LEGITIMISE THE AKP AND THE NAZIS IN THE NAME OF THE LEFT AND “ANTI-AMERICANISM”!
