As part of the Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners held on May 25, the ongoing resistance of revolutionary prisoners in Turkey and Europe was brought to the agenda. Approximately 350 people attended the event organized by the Movimiento Antirrepresivo de Madrid (Madrid Anti-Repression Movement).
After the message sent by TAYAD to salute the event was read aloud, a representative of the Anti-Imperialist Front spoke about the resistance of revolutionary prisoners in Turkey and Europe. The presentation addressed the hunger strikes and resistance against pit-type prisons, the resistance of Tuğçenur Özbay, İrfan Yılmaz, and Özgül Emre, those being tried in Greece for helping revolutionaries, as well as TAYAD and historical resistances in prisons. In addition, an approximately half-hour presentation was given on the Death Fast resistance against NATO’s strategy imposed on revolutionaries of “either ideological change or death,” and on the reasons behind imperialist attacks against revolutionaries. A call for unity was also made during the event.

Support was requested for campaigns related to the ongoing resistance struggles, and prepared materials were distributed to participants.
The speech by the AEC representative was frequently interrupted by applause. After the speech, many participants spoke with the representative to exchange views about the issues discussed and about those resisting while defending Marxist-Leninist ideology, as well as to express their support for the gains achieved and for the ongoing resistance.

At the end of the event, cards featuring drawings by Kurşun Kalem were written for Tahsin Sağaltıcı, Hüseyin Özen, Tuğçenur Özbay, Cem Dursun, Hasan Basri Yıldız, İrfan Yılmaz, Can Kaba, Özgül Emre, and nine revolutionaries who are still imprisoned in the Spanish state for refusing to surrender.
