PEOPLE’S FRONT AND ANTI-IMPERIALIST FRONT PARTICIPATED IN FETE L´HUMANITE 2025 IN PARIS

The People’s Front and the Anti-Imperialist Front participated in the biggest festival in Paris, the Festival of Humanity.

This year, on September 12, 13, and 14, the People’s Front, Revolutionary Youth (France), and the Anti-Imperialist Front (France) took part in the Festival held in the Evry region of Paris.

This year, L’Humanité broke a record with 610,000 visitors.

As every year, the AIF (Anti-Imperialist Front) set up a political stand and organized panels.

At the political stand, the following campaigns of the People’s Front were presented:

  • The Palestine march
  • Zehra Kurtay’s hunger strike resistance
  • The issue of High-Security Solitary Confinement Prisons (Pit Type prisons).

This year, the Fête de l’Humanité was especially dedicated to Palestine.

In the “village du monde” (world village), a large area was allocated to Palestinian organizations and groups in solidarity with Palestine.

This year’s Humanité Festival featured intense political activities: panels, marches, and commemorations.

AIF (France) organized two panels on Saturday:

  • One on Palestine
  • The other on political prisoners.

Panel about Palestine

At the midday panel on Palestine, the speakers were:

  • The well-known lawyer Salah Hamouri, who was imprisoned for years in Israel
  • A representative of the People’s Front, who presented the “We are going to Palestine, join us!” campaign
  • Supernova
  • The Coordination of Resistance from Liège, Belgium
  • The Revolutionary Youth League (Ligue de la jeunesse révolutionaire).

The speakers at the Palestine panel held at noon were as follows:

Renowned lawyer and long-time prisoner in Israel Salah Hamouri, a representative of the Popular Front introducing the ‘We are going to Palestine, join us’ campaign, Supernowa, coordination of resistance from Liege, Belgium, and the Revolutionary Youth League (Ligue de la jeunesse révolutionnaire).

Salah Hamouri has spoken about the resistance in Gaza.

The People’s Front representative described the Palestine march, which will begin on 20 September.

Supernova explained that while discussing the resistance in Palestine, the associations representing the establishment could not resolve the issue, but the resistance could.

The Revolutionary Youth League emphasised how necessary armed resistance truly is in the Palestinian struggle.

Secours Rouge Toulouse (Red Aid Toulouse) participated with a video.

The video discussed prisons and the need to stand up for political prisoners. Wherever they are, if they are anti-fascist, anti-imperialist and anti-Zionist, we must stand up for them.

Political prisoners are a value of the revolutionary struggle.

Ours is neither charity nor humanism; our struggle is part of the revolutionary struggle.

The resistance coordination, while explaining the coordination, described the Palestinian solidarity actions in Liège.

The moderator concluded by saying that people are dying in Palestine, that is a fact. People are starving in Gaza, that is a fact.

But Gaza is our vanguard right now. It carries the flag of resistance.

Despite all the armament, the most modern weapons and the army, it shows the power of the people. That is why power is with the people.

Panel about political prisoners

The panel on political prisoners began with a video sent by George Ibrahim Abdallah.

In his video, Abdallah greeted the panel organised by the Anti-Imperialist Front in his speech on the resistance in Palestine and the resistance of political prisoners in Turkey. He assessed this panel as a political stance against Zionism, beyond solidarity with the masses in Palestine.

He emphasised the need to further develop and expand solidarity.

The second speaker was Mohammed Khatib, European coordinator of Samidoun.

He spoke about administrative detention in Palestine.

He also criticised the Humanité event. Although it is a left-wing event, he said that Zionists have begun to exert their influence here too and that it needs to be purged.

The third speaker was a representative of Secours Rouge Marseille.

They emphasised the criminalisation of youth in neighbourhoods, particularly due to the new anti-terrorism laws in France.

Then Şükriye Akar, whose husband Fikret Akar has been on an indefinite hunger strike for 172 days, took the floor and spoke about the Pit Type prisons.

Subsequently, the representative of CRCP from Corsica described the situation of Corsican political prisoners in France.

He also spoke about Corsican resistance fighters who had previously been executed in French prisons.

Finally, he emphasised the need for solidarity with political prisoners.

Lastly, information was provided about İlker Alkan, who is currently a political prisoner in France.

The Revolutionary Youth of France (Dev Genc Fransa) has distributed intensively leaflets.
