NATO Is Stealing from Each Other
They’re All Thieves, All Murderers
NATO IS THE ORGANIZATION OF LOOTING AND OCCUPATION OF IMPERIALISM!
NATO occupies our countries for the continuity of imperialist exploitation, uses the armies of neo-colonial countries for invasion and massacre, fills our lands with imperialist military bases… It’s not enough—they steal from each other what they have already taken from us.
Imperialism is plunderous, murderous, and thieving. When it comes to money and interests, there is no morality or values!
They don’t hesitate to deceive each other. They steal from us, and they steal from each other. Murderers and thieves!
Revolution will put an end to their theft, exploitation, and oppression. Every act of resistance steals from imperialism’s lifespan. Every resistance digs the grave of imperialism…
NATO has been implicated in corruption, money laundering, and bribery scandals. In a corruption investigation involving current and former staff of NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), raids and arrests were carried out in several countries. These raids were coordinated by the European Union’s judicial cooperation body, Eurojust, and took place in Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and the USA. NATO spokesperson Allison Hart confirmed the raids and arrests, stating:
“NATO, including the NSPA, is working closely with law enforcement to bring the perpetrators to justice. We are actively strengthening our ability to mitigate risks and eliminate irregularities.”
With this statement, NATO confirmed the theft.
Belgian prosecutors stated:
“The investigation concerns possible irregularities in awarding contracts to defense contractors for purchasing military equipment such as ammunition and UAVs for NATO. There are indications that the money obtained from these illegal practices was laundered partly through the establishment of consulting firms.”
In short, there is corruption and theft. Of course, this is not surprising to us. Why? Because we know the system well. We know capitalism, imperialism, and their institutions and personnel all too well. Those who steal the people’s labor, plunder our countries, and loot our underground and aboveground resources are thieves—and a thief never stops stealing. Just as they reach into our pockets, they reach into each other’s. It is in their class nature to steal. As they say: “Money, money, money!” Their everything is money: their homeland, their values, their morals, even their families…
When money is involved, NATO armies fight among themselves, betray each other, deceive one another. As the saying goes: “He would even sell his own mother.” They have no value they wouldn’t sell.
In the capitalist system, the only value is profit. Everything is built around making more profit, and this shapes the morality and value system of capitalists. That’s why we’re not surprised by theft within NATO.
So whose money is being stolen? Whose money is it?
THE STOLEN MONEY IS OUR MONEY. THEY STEAL THE SWEAT AND LABOR OF OUR PEOPLE…
Today, NATO has 32 member countries. These countries contribute to NATO based on their gross national income. Payments to NATO are categorized as: Civil Budget, Military Budget, and Security Investment Program. The country that contributes the most is the United States, covering 21.7% of NATO’s budget and thus having the most say in decision-making.
After the U.S., Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, and the Netherlands are the top contributors. Among the neo-colonial countries, Turkey pays the most, covering 3.1% of the budget. However, contributions are based on the size of national income rather than per capita income. As a result, Turkey—with a per capita income of $8,000—ends up paying more than Norway, where per capita income is $68,000. Norway contributes only 1.42%, while Greece—with $17,000 per capita income—pays just 0.80%.
Luxembourg, with $110,000 per capita income, contributes only 0.15%.
In this situation, Turkey is the country that pays the most to NATO relative to its national income. Fascism continuously confiscates the people’s labor through new taxes. In 2024, an average of 608.7 billion TL was collected per month in taxes—20 billion TL per day, totaling 7.3 trillion TL in one year. The money stolen by NATO is the money collected from our people’s labor through taxes.
Fascism collects taxes from the people and makes payments to NATO from those taxes. Turkey joined NATO in 1952 and has been paying contributions ever since—73 years of paying NATO with the blood, sweat, and tears of our people. And not just contributions—the Turkish army is used within NATO for the interests of the U.S. and other imperialists worldwide. The Turkish military is one of the most actively used within NATO, mainly because it is cheap, easily deployed under a “Muslim” identity, and the Turkish oligarchy, being a neo-colonial entity, has no strength to object to imperialism.
NATO uses the Turkish army, uses our land as a base for attacks via agreements, and employs the oligarchy politically in places like Libya, Syria, and Palestine. Meanwhile, the people’s taxes are used to pay for NATO’s expenses. And on top of that, they steal the dues, enrich themselves, and establish companies. Every penny stolen by NATO members carries the right of a starving child in Anatolia, the labor of the miners massacred in Soma, and the lives of tens of thousands lost in earthquakes.
In November 1999, fascism passed the Earthquake Tax Law and collected trillions in taxes. Later, it was revealed that these taxes had been misused or stolen. And during later earthquakes, the public received no help. Yet payments to NATO continued seamlessly every year. These payments were made from taxes—earthquake taxes, health taxes, housing taxes, and more. Fascism stole from the people, NATO stole from the people. The foundation of their system is theft.
IMPERIALISM IS INVASION, EXPLOITATION, AND PLUNDER.
FASCISM IS LIES, DEMAGOGUERY, AND TERROR.
The source of our hunger, poverty, unemployment, and all our problems is the exploitation and oppression of imperialism. NATO is one of the main culprits of our hunger and poverty.
Imperialists attack the countries they want to invade or colonize through NATO. NATO secures their occupations and exploitation.
In all invasion operations of the U.S. and the EU, NATO is involved. In every massacre, NATO is present. NATO is the stick of imperialism—especially U.S. imperialism—used to threaten the people. When there is resistance, they wave this stick.
Fascism is lies, demagoguery, and terror. They deceive people with lies and demagoguery, and force them to accept imperialist exploitation. Since the 1990s, they have said:
“The world is unipolar.”
“Turkey is developing, becoming a global power.”
“We will have a say in the world now.”
“We will eliminate unemployment and poverty.”
“The U.S. and EU are our allies; we will develop together.”
“Turkey’s interests align with those of the U.S. and EU.”
“We will be a leader in energy and industry.”
“The world will take Turkey as an example.”
The reformist left also joined in spreading these lies. Together, they tried to convince the people to accept the imperialist order of exploitation and oppression. What they wanted to make acceptable was new colonialism, plunder, hunger, and poverty.
And when persuasion didn’t work, they turned to fascism and terror in the neo-colonial countries. Solitary confinement prisons like F-type and now S, R, Y, and Pit-type prisons were built to silence revolutionaries and the people—to eliminate all obstacles to imperialist exploitation.
Let’s look at the process since the coup attempt of July 15. Our country is now ruled under full fascist repression. Fascism attacks revolutionaries and the people with all its tools and institutions. They pass law after law to justify repression. They even attack TAYAD mothers, our women, children, elderly, and sick.
They attack striking workers, parents demanding justice, students, lawyers, artists, miners, and earthquake victims. Sometimes they even attack their own reformists, civil society figures, or the CHP.
The character of imperialism is: destroy, plunder, enslave.
That’s how they rule the world. That’s the foundation of their rule. They are thieves and looters by nature.
EVERY ACT OF RESISTANCE THAT TAKES TIME FROM IMPERIALISM
IS A STEP TOWARD OUR REVOLUTION
Imperialism is exploitation and plunder; fascism is lies, demagoguery, and terror. The only force standing against them is revolutionaries. The only solution is revolution. The only path is resistance. There is no other path but to resist imperialism and fascism.
Today’s left largely lacks resistance. DİSK, KESK, TMMOB, TTB—what are they doing against fascism? Against imperialist exploitation and plunder in our country? Nothing!
Reformist left and civil society actors do not resist imperialism and fascism in any field. Not only do they fail to resist, but they also blame and isolate those who do. They purge them from unions and chambers.
Except for revolutionaries—us—no one resists. Sometimes we resist alone. For days, weeks, months, even years. We know every act of resistance is a blow to imperialist exploitation. Every resistance shortens the life of imperialism.
Yüksel Resistance is an example. It managed to block AKP’s attacks through emergency decrees. In resistance, quality matters more than quantity. The key is to have the willpower to carry it to the end. A resistance may not always end in success—that’s not the most important thing. What matters is to not remain without a stance or politics against imperialist and fascist aggression.
Because lacking resistance and politics results in compromise and surrender.
We are revolutionaries, Marxists, Leninists.
We know the exploitative, plundering, thieving nature of the capitalist system better than anyone. We know our enemy well—we recognize them from the days of slavery, feudalism, and capitalism. We know all exploiting classes are thieves. We know when it comes to money, they won’t hesitate to slit each other’s throats. And we know only revolution and socialism can put an end to this rotten system. That’s why we resist in every area and under all conditions. We never give up on revolution or socialism.
In conclusion:
- NATO is an enemy of the people and an imperialist institution fed by exploitation.
- Turkey is the second highest contributor to NATO. Our people’s taxes go to NATO.
- The money stolen by NATO officials is our people’s labor—they are stealing from us. Thieves!
- Imperialism is invasion, exploitation, and plunder; fascism is lies, demagoguery, and terror.
- The only power confronting them is revolutionaries.
- The essence of imperialism is to destroy, plunder, and exploit.
- Every resistance is a step toward revolution and cuts short the life of imperialism.
- The only solution to this order of theft is socialism, the only path is resistance.
